On Saturday, June 22, 2013, at approximately 0720 hours a
body was recovered from the Missouri River at the Shoal Creek Access in Clay
County. The body was positively
identified as Cody M. Siwek, age 20, of Overland Park, Kansas. The body was taken to the Jackson County
Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death. The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division
of Drug and Crime Control is investigating this incident.
