Memorial services for Roy Lee Winters will be 3 p.m. Thursday, June 6 at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel in Butler with Pastor Bill Read officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 1-3 p.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Private family inurnment at Westpoint Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Amsterdam Baptist Church.
Roy Lee Winters, age 73 of Amsterdam, Missouri, died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. He was born February 15, 1940 to James and Hazel Marie Price Winters in Perryville, Missouri.
Roy is survived by his wife, Nancy Winters of Amsterdam, Missouri; one son, Jeff Winters and wife Tyra of Lakeland, Florida; one daughter, Jennifer Rhoades and husband Bruce of Kansas City, Missouri; his mother, Hazel Winters of Independence, Missouri; an aunt, Ruth Cheek of Independence, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Jacob Herrell, Kelsey Elizabeth Winters and Trevor Lee Winters. He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Michael Lee Winters.
