Weather Update: A soggy April-Like Afternoon
Two areas of showers, essentially remnants of a large thunderstorm complex which affected Kansas last night, have persisted across western Missouri this afternoon. We do not anticipate this activity to dissipate any time soon, especially from northern portions of Kansas City to the Iowa border where showers could be heavy at times. The second cluster of showers south and east of Kansas City may move slowly eastward. Temperatures will be held in the middle 60s where rain is falling, and only reach the lower 70s from Kirksville to Columbia. Some localized areas received over an inch of rain in thunderstorms this morning. How much rain has your location received today?
