Weather Update: Storms Possible This Evening/ Tonight

First and foremost, HAPPY FATHERS DAY! The good news is that unlike Saturday we're not expecting a washout today. A few isolated to scattered thunderstorms will redevelop later this afternoon, but much of the activity will be focused over Kansas and Nebraska. Portions of the area are under a SLIGHT risk of severe storms later this evening and overnight (red shaded areas in the map) as storms move into the area from the west.

Otherwise it will still remain muggy and warm. For a video briefing on today's weather please visit http://www.YouTube.com/NWSKansasCity
