WARSAW, Mo. - Law enforcement has issued an endangered missing person alert for Hellen Cook, a woman missing from Warsaw.
They say Cook's family is concerned because she suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Police also say Cook may believe she's headed to her old home in Buckner, Mo.
She was last seen 11:30 a.m. Saturday near Walnut Grove and Hensley Road in Benton County. Cook and her husband were visiting their vacation property near Truman Lake when she walked away while her husband was mowing the lawn.
They describe her as a small woman, only weighing 95 pounds and measuring five feet tall. Officers say Cook was wearing jean shorts and a white t-shirt when she disappeared.
