Elsie May (Rusow) Howard, 68 of Harrisonville, MO; formerly a longtime resident of Adrian, MO passed from this life at home from a well fought battle of cancer on July 13, 2013. Elsie was born on August 28, 1944 in Horton, MO to Ira Henry Rusow and Georgedine (McGinnis) Rusow. Elsie was the second of four children and an Adrian High School graduate.
Elsie and John Ryland Howard were married August 1964.
Elsie is survived by two daughters; Tina (Howard) Russo of Harrisonville, MO, and Leslie Howard of Adrian, MO. Two Grandchildren; Sonia Dilks Richardson of Harrisonville, MO and Ryland Howard of Adrian, MO. One Great-grandson, Alexander Richardson of Harrisonville, MO. Two sisters: Henryetta Payne of Lexington, MO and Gatha and her husband Everett Roth of Peculiar, MO.
Elsie was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband of many years, and a brother, Harvey Rusow.
Cremation by Stonegate Crematorium under the direction of Mullinax Funeral Home. No visitation or funeral service planned at this time.
