This year the Rich Hill Tiger football program began with two football camps during the summer. Their new head coach is Heath Heckadon, who’s going back to the traditions of Rich Hill football. Coach Heckadon is a former graduate from Rich Hill High School and says, “That it is good to be back home.” Coach Heckadon was most recently a defensive coordinator for the Crest Ridge Cougars.
Tigers are expecting to change things around this year by improving upon their previous record. Their first camp was a 7 on 7 camp in Lockwood they went 4-2 beating Jasper, Miller, Lockwood JV, and Marionville. The second camp was a full contact camp in Midway. The Tigers won two out of four games beating Sherwood and Hogan prep. Tiger football began practice this last Monday.
The new and improved Rich Hill Tigers get their first game experience next Friday at the jamboree in Adrian. They will be playing against the Adrian Blackhawks, Sherwood Marksmen, and the Windsor Greyhounds starting at 6:30 p.m.
