Funeral services for Gertrude L. Steiner will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Justin Moxley and Pastor Lance Coffman officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 10 - 11 a.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Contributions to Pleasant Gap Christian Church.
Gertrude L. Steiner, age 97 of Butler, Missouri, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at her daughter's home in Lenexa, Kansas. She was born February 3, 1916 to Emmett Francis and Nellie Belle McElroy Burk in Bates County, Missouri.
Gertrude is survived by two sons, Kent Steiner and wife Conni of Andover, Minnesota and Neil Steiner and wife Brenda of Butler, Missouri; one daughter, Judy Ronning and husband Jack of Lenexa, Kansas; a sister, Doris Kropf of Butler, Missouri; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard in 2012; three brothers, an infant, Virgil Burk and Glen Burk; and three sisters, Mary Jane Hellwig, Hazel Beard and Mildred Hellwig.
