

BENTON COUNTY, Mo. - On Saturday, crews began draining the pond where items thought to belong to missing Warsaw, Mo., woman Hellen Cook were found. According to Hellen's daughter Terri Cook, the pond was to be drained sometime next week, but plans changed on Saturday. Authorities also plan to use search dogs to look for her.
On July 27, searchers found shoes, a scarf and a red Chiefs hat. Cook’s husband says the shoes were definitely hers and a neighbor says they last saw her wearing a red hat.
"We're still hopeful that she got into a truck with someone and they dropped her off in another state and we'll find her there," Terri said. Cook went missing on July 13 and has not been seen or heard from since. Cook suffers from Alzheimer’s
