Butler Woman Hurt In Jackson County Crash
A Butler woman was hurt Monday in a motor-vehicle mishap in Jackson County, Missouri. 22-year-old Jessica N. Parsons, Butler, Mo., was flown to Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo., with the moderate injuries she suffered in the one-car crash on U.S. 50 just East of Jackson County route F. Missouri Highway Patrol trooper R. A. Wood says the wreck happened about 9:45 a.m. when Parsons apparently fell asleep at the wheel and the East-bound Pontiac she was driving traveled off the left side of the road, returned to 50, started to skid, veered off the left side of the road a second time, hit a concrete culvert and became airborne, hitting a ditch and oveturning -- coming to rest in a creek bed. Lone Jack firemen and Jackson County sheriff's officers assisted Missouri Highway Patrol troopers at the scene -- on U.S. 50, four-tenths-of-a-mile East of Jackson County route F.
