Memorial services for Mary Matthews will be 10:00 AM Friday, October 18, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville, Missouri. There is no visitation. Cremation under the direction of the Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler, Missouri (660) 679-0009. Contributions in Mary’s memory are suggested to the Cass Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Mary G. Matthews, 80 of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away October 11, 2013. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. “I love you Mom.”
Mary was united in marriage to James L. Matthews, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her two children as well as two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; she also leaves behind one sister and brother-in-law.
Mary owned and operated her own floral shop for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrisonville, where she was in charge of floral arrangements for the sanctuary. She also volunteered at Cass Regional Medical Center and with the Cass County Historical Society. Additionally, Mary was a member of Cass County Extension Club.
