Funeral services for Thelma Scott will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Mullinax Funeral Home in Butler, Missouri (660) 679-0009 with Pastor Jerry Hildebrand officiating. Visitation prior to services, 1-2 PM at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler. Contributions in memory of Thelma are suggested to the March of Dimes. Thelma Darlene Scott, 82 of Butler, passed away October 12, 2013 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born October 30, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of Roy Franklin and Edna Lucille (Kavanaugh) Springer.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul in August of 2013; one grandson, Chad Scott; and four brothers: Loren, Bob, Glen and Amos Springer. She is survived by her daughter Kathie Peterie and husband Jerry of Strafford, Missouri; son Larry Scott and wife Francie of Butler, Missouri; daughter Jennie Vineyard and husband Carl of Coatesville, Indiana; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother Gail Springer; sister Eileen Gordon; brother Wayne Springer; sister June Shepherd; and sister Delores Duck.
