2 ATV 4 wheelers, and 2 dirt bikes were recovered by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office late Tuesday afternoon. According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, nearly $15,000 in stolen property was recovered after investigators from his Office received information from the Platte County Sheriff’s Office about the stolen equipment. “Platte County investigators had some information, but no address. They just knew the stolen property had been taken somewhere in Vernon County” Mosher said. The stolen property was recovered south of Nevada by Sheriff’s Office investigators the same day they received the information. Mosher said the Platte County Sheriff’s Office had arrested one suspect in the theft and was attempting to locate another Tuesday evening after the stolen property had been recovered. The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office will continue to work with the Platte County Sheriff’s Office throughout the investigation.
