Weather Update: Wintry Mix Expected Friday
Here's a first look at our current thoughts about the wintry weather for
Friday and Friday night. There is A LOT of uncertainty with this system
as temperatures, which dictate
precipitation type, flirt with 32 degrees most of the day. But it does
look like the highest snow amounts will be from central to eastern
Missouri with a dusting to two inches in the Kansas City area. The
greatest potential for a light glazing, mainly Friday morning, should be
from the southern half of the Kansas City metro eastward along
Interstate 70 and southward in southern and southeastern Missouri. With
the large amount of uncertainty, this forecast is likely to change as we
fine tune things. So those that are interested should definitely check
back to get the latest forecasts.
