Around 1am this morning a Bates County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a White Chevrolet Avalanche here in Butler. The vehicle refused to pull over and a pursuit started. The pursuit was short and was assisted by the Butler Police Department where it ended on the corner of County Club Terrace and South Main Street in Butler.
