A Mound City, Kansas man was killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in Linn County, Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the fatality as 58-year-old Steven Nickelson. Troopers say the collision happened about 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Kansas highway 52 and Scott Road -- two miles West of the intersection of 52 and U.S. 69 -- when a North-bound dump truck, driven by 64-year-old Roy Bright, Pleasanton, Kansas, stopped at a stop sign then proceeded through the intersection without seeing oncoming traffic, hitting the Infiniti Nickelson was driving in the West-bound lane. The Infiniti came to rest in the North ditch.
