Structure Fire In Drexel

The Drexel Fire Department was toned out this morning for a possible structure fire south of town on Ball Back Road around the area of Lowe's Trailer Park in rural Bates County. The Adrian and Amsterdam Fire Departments were asked to standby for possible mutual aid.

The cause of the fire was caused by a kerosene heater and the home owners were able to get the heater outside and extinguish the fire before Drexel Fire units arrived, all mutual aid help was disregarded.
