Marijuana Grow Operation in Rural Adrian

On 3/18/14, members of the CNET Drug Taskforce and the Bates County Sheriff’s Office converged on a residence in rural Adrian Missouri on county road 4501.  The narcotics officers were following up on a tip in reference to marijuana grow operation at the residence.

Narcotics officers made contact with one of the owners at the residence.  At the residence the officers located two locations within the house used for the grown operation.  The first location was a second story bedroom, which was being used as a room to start the grow process.  Once the plants reached a certain maturity level then the plants were moved to a location inside the basement where they were placed under larger grow lamps that were run on timers.

Approximately 41 marijuana plants were seized, just under 1 pound of processed marijuana and 9 guns.   The grow operation was dismantled and transported to the Bates County Sheriff’s Office

The case will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for review of charges.
