Non-injury vehicle accident at Appleton City Manor

On March 15 a St. Clair County Sheriff deputy was dispatched to Appleton City Manor in reference to a non-injury vehicle accident. The investigation revealed Lita Wood, 94, Appleton City, ran into the back of the building with a 2003 Mercury Marquis. It was noted the bottom part of the wall of the building was pushed in approximately three to four inches. The report notes Wood stated she must have stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal.
