Weather Update: Accumulating Snow Expected Monday

***Please use caution this morning when driving anywhere. There have been numerous accidents all over the area.***

Not only did we see light snow overnight, but it melted as it hit roads and then temperatures fell into the low to mid 20s which froze what was melted into sheets of ice.

Unfortunately, winter is going to hang out with us for a few days. A quick moving storm system will bring accum...ulating snows to the area. The greatest accumulations will be along and north of Highway 36 (the main east-west highway across northern Missouri) where as much as 2 inches can be expected. South of this area a dusting to an inch is likely.

The good news is that temperatures will become seasonal by the middle of the week and these seasonal temperatures should persist into the weekend.
