St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office: Arrest warrant issued for Kyle Ewing

Kyle Ewing
On Friday, April 11, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for Kyle Ewing, 22, El Dorado Springs, for class  C felony of theft/stealing with the value of property or services $500 or more but less than $25,000.

The charge stems from thefts at two vacant homes owned by Susan and Robert Lawson in the Taberville area between March 20 and March 21. Items missing from the vacant homes included electric wire, copper tubing, two game cameras, and an electric fence charger.

On Friday, March 28, Ewing was arrested on three unrelated “no bond” warrants from Cedar County. His arrest came after a tip was received from a Facebook post in reference to information being sought on a vehicle possibly involved in the thefts. A photo of the suspect vehicle was posted on the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office website and Facebook page on March 27. On March 28, information was received the vehicle was located at a residence in El Dorado Springs. Contact was made with the El Dorado Police Department and it was confirmed the vehicle was located there. A search was conducted and several stolen items were seized. Ewing remains in the custody of the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office.
