The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office participated in the Cold Water Challenge Friday evening raising over $350 for the Children’s Center in Nevada. The Sheriff’s Office, Western Missouri 911, Vernon County Ambulance District, Nevada Fire Department, Deerfield Fire Department, and the Nevada Daily Mail also participated in the event helping to raise the money. The group gathered in the yard outside of the Sheriff’s Office as the Nevada Fire Department sprayed the group down with ice cold water. Sheriff Jason Mosher said it was very encouraging to see so many people attend and help raise money for the Children’s Center.
