Nevada Police Department has concluded an investigation of a reported domestic assault early Sunday morning 5/11/14 at a home in the 200 block of S. Adams in Nevada. Detective Josh Westerhold with the Nevada Police Department says this event started when the Nevada Police Department officers were called to the emergency room at Nevada Regional Medical Center.
When they arrived to the scene they was advised that a 28-year-old woman was undergoing treatment because a male companion threw her to the floor and beat her multiple times before she ran out of the house in the middle of the night. A friend later took her to the hospital for treatment.
Detective Westerhold says the investigation led to the suspect who was found at the home and he was arrested. The suspect was identified as 34-year-old Charles R. Pratt, Jr. and he was booked at the Vernon County jail on a class C felony count alleging second-degree domestic assault.
