Jeff Montgomery, Royals Hall of Fame Pitcher Is coming to Town



Jeff Montgomery, former KC Royal pitcher, and a member of the Royals Hall of Fame, is coming to town on Saturday, June 21st. He will be the featured speaker at the 2nd annual Giving Fore Living Banquet and auction at the Butler Country Club. The banquet will begin at 6pm and the cost is only $20 per person, with children 12 and under free. The Butler County Club is located at 112 Country Club Terrace.

Jeff will be sharing experiences from his 30-year Major League Baseball career and how he has transitioned from professional baseball to business owner to a TV analyst for the Royals.

Montgomery became the ninth American League pitcher and the 23rd pitcher in major league history to accomplish the nine-strike/three-strikeout half-inning.

In 1993, Montgomery saved 45 games. That year he won the American League Rolaids Relief Man Award. Montgomery was also an All-Star in 1992, 1993, and 1996.

Giving Fore Living is an event to celebrate the life of Darin Wainscott. In the coming together of friends and family of Darin, to celebrate his life, his values and his commitment to his family and community.

The money raised by the weekend events will be used to support and promote organ donations, to support local charities reflecting Darin’s values and to support the Darin Wainscott Memorial Scholarship.
