The Butler Police Department responded to Walmart this morning on a report of a man seen shoplifting by Walmart Security. The suspect was arrested in the store and upon being searched, it was found he was carrying drugs. The officers then went outside and found two people passed out in the suspects vehicle.
Police then received consent to search the vehicle where additional drugs were recovered, resulting in the two subjects being taken into custody as well as the man shoplifting. Bates County Live will update this story when more information becomes available.
