Funeral services for Henry Mammen will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Visitation will be prior to services from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Contributions to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
Henry Joe Mammen, age 100 of Butler, Missouri died Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. He was born March 11, 1914 to Louis Altman and Anna Fischer Mammen in Lake City, Iowa.
Henry is survived by his wife, Hazel Mammen of Butler, Missouri; one son, Thomas “Tom” Mammen of Blue Springs, Missouri; one daughter, Vicki Conley and husband Roy of Butler, Missouri; two stepsons; two stepdaughters; two grandchildren, John Vern Johnson and Donna Michelle Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Trenton Allen Lane, Stefanie Montarvy, Brett Rayford, Christopher Rayford, Timmberlynn Marie Johnson; and two great great-grandchildren, Michelle Montarvy and Christian Montarvy. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Louise in February of 1997; three brothers, Jesse Mammen, Harry Fischer and Harold Fischer; and one sister, Ruby Harvel.
