Graveside services for Nina Deardorff will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Ballard, Missouri under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555). There will be no visitation. Contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Nina May Deardorff, age 88 of rural Adrian, Missouri died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at her home. She was born May 7, 1926 to Percy and Emma Ione Day Winegardner in Bates County, Missouri.
Nina is survived by her brother, John Winegardner of Adrian, Missouri; a niece, Susan Winegardner of Belton, Missouri; great-niece, Amy Winegardner; great-nephew, Eric Winegardner; two brothers-in-law, Vernon Deardorff and wife Pat and Martin Deardorff all of Kansas City, Missouri; faithful friend and neighbor, Nellie O. Hill; as well as the Roof family, who considered her an adopted grandma; and other nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; one nephew, Gerald Winegardner and a sister-in-law, Bessie Winegardner.
