The Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Bates County EMS and Bates County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a 1 vehicle motorcycle accident on Y Highway .7 miles South of Route 18 at Merwin.The accident occurred around 11:15pm last night when the 2014 Harley Davidson driven by Roger L. Fink, 53, of Drexel, Missouri was traveling Northbound when he struck a deer and was ejected from the bike.
Mr. Fink was transported by Bates County EMS to the Adrian helicopter pad and life flighted to a Kansas City Hospital, with serious injuries. The bike was totaled and transported by private tow.
