Two wanted felons
were arrested early Wednesday morning after a search warrant was
served in Nevada. According to a press release from the Sheriff’s
Office, Sheriff’s Deputies, Nevada Police and members of the
recently formed Vernon County Special Response Team, served a search
warrant at a residence on the 700 block of West Parkhill Drive around
5:30 am. Sheriff Jason Mosher said his team was searching for Edward
Hallam, 33 of Nevada, and had reason to believe the wanted felon was
in the residence. “Hallam had numerous warrants including
resisting arrest so we sent the Special Response Team to get him”
Mosher said. The Sheriff said the team found Hallam hiding in the
attic and had to go up and get him after he refused to come down. The
Sheriff also said Necole L Brown, 28 of Milo was arrested on a felony
warrant of Stealing Leased or Rented Property as well as other
misdemeanor warrants. Hallam and Brown were transported to the county
jail. Deputies and Nevada Police found drugs in the residence but
would not disclose any details pending the continuing investigation.
Sheriff Mosher said the priority on this warrant was for the safety
of other people residing in the residence, “the warrant was
executed in a safe manner even though the suspect resisted, so our
team did an excellent job.”
