Funeral services for Beverly A. Sahling Borland will be 12:30 PM Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Norfleet Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri with Phil Crosby officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM at the church. Burial to follow services in Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas. Beverly
Ann (Taylor) Sahling Borland of Independence, Missouri, who has been 69
for several years now, passed away August 10, 2014 at Centerpoint
Medical Center in Independence.
Beverly
was born May 12, 1936 in Sarpy County, Nebraska, daughter of James
Christian Sr. and Agnes Jene (Crippin) Taylor. Beverly worked many years
in the home health and hospice fields and excelled in caring for
others. Church activities were important to Beverly and she most
recently attended and was involved in Norfleet Baptist Church in Kansas
City.
Beverly
remarked that she felt lucky to be alive, having survived two
open-heart surgeries. Also contributing to that sentiment was the fact
that Beverly’s twin sister, Barbara, passed away at birth. She was never
forgotten by Beverly.
Beverly
was preceded in death by her parents, four husbands, three sisters, and
four brothers. She is survived by a son, Jay Sahling and wife Bridget
McNabb of Kansas City, Kansas; daughter Linda Gavin and husband Robert
of Australia; one brother, Floyd Taylor of Colorado; as well as many
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and
also numerous friends
