Osceola man arrested for stalking‏

Paul W. Ross

On Monday, Aug. 4, a St. Clair County deputy responded to Roscoe in reference to a complaint from a 16 year-old female juvenile of a man following her from Casey’s gas station in Osceola. The juvenile stated the man, later identified as Paul W. Ross, 48, Osceola, approached her while she was getting gas and made conversation about her vehicle. The juvenile advised Ross made her very uncomfortable. Ross then made comments about the juvenile being “cute.” The juvenile immediately left the gas station. Ross allegedly followed the juvenile approximately 12 miles. After losing Ross, the juvenile went to a family member’s home and called the sheriff’s office.

During the investigation, it was learned five additional young female victims were approached and followed by Ross. On Aug. 10, St Clair County deputies arrested Ross on 24 hours investigation for six counts of stalking. Formal charges are pending. Sheriff Scott Keeler urges those with any information related to this case to contact the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line, 417-646-5832, or email to tips@scsom.org
