| Pursuit ends in bean field |
( Lamar, Missouri) - The Barton County Sheriffs Office responded early this morning to a theft in
progress from a residence located near V- highway North of Lamar. When Deputies located the
suspect vehicle a short time later the vehicle failed to yeild and a pursuit began.
The pursuit ended after traveling
through a corn field and ending up in a bean field. The vehicle was
identified as being stolen out of Nebraska.
The suspects fled on foot
and hid in the bean field. Barton County K-9 Units and the Missouri
State Highway Patrol assisted in searching for the suspects. A short
time later, 4 Juveniles taken into custody without incident.
