According to Sheriff Kent Oberkrom, two persons were arrested on 24-hour investigation of marijuana-related charges, in connection with a search warrant which was served on Monday evening September 8, 2014 at around 6:00 p.m., in the 1400 block of South 7th Street, Clinton.

The search warrant authorized deputies to search the residence for marijuana, as well as items associated with its distribution. During the search warrant’s execution, several pounds of marijuana, as well as paraphernalia items and a large amount of currency were discovered and seized.

Arrested was Jerry Skinner II, age 40, and Trisha Skinner, age 39, both of Clinton, for distribution of marijuana.

“This investigation stems from a partnership entered into by the Sheriff’s Office with CNET (Community Narcotics Enforcement Team) Drug Task Force in early August of this year. CNET Drug Task Force services several other counties around our area and our mutual partnership was instrumental in this investigation and subsequent search warrant. Sgt. Aaron Brown has been assigned to the task force and it appears that the benefit of our cooperative efforts is showing early dividends”, Sheriff Oberkrom stated.

Deputies which participated in the execution of the search warrant along with Sheriff Oberkrom were Major Rob Hills, Sgt. Mike Nelson, Sgt. Aaron Brown, Cpls. Jason Gillespie and Tim Eaton and Deputy Lenny Kubilus. Assisting from the Clinton Police Department was Sgt. Paul Abbott, Patrolman Keith Keller and Joel Parney, as well as an operative of the CNET Drug Task Force.
