Rain is moving into northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas this morning, and will continue to spread southeastward through the morning and afternoon hours. Rainfall amounts should be light and not have much of an effect on the ongoing flooding across northern Missouri. This rain is associated with a cold front that is moving south and will lead to unseasonably cold temperatures Saturday morning. In fact, for Kansas City, the record low is 39, which was set 1890. The record low at St. Joseph is also 39, but set in 1974. We're forecasting low temperatures below this so we may wake up tomorrow with two fresh record low temperatures.
