Hume Community News

The community of Hume was saddened by the loss of Leon Lowe. During his lifetime he was a great influence to all the kids in the area. He was a coach, referee and friend to all, even taking the time out to visit them in the hospital always claiming to be some relative. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family, he will be greatly missed by all.

The Annual PTO/School Carnival is this Friday, October 17th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Hume School. Come out and support these kids, enjoy supper, sweets and pick up a few items from the Senior Store.

Don’t forget the fair board fundraiser on Saturday, October 18 starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Hume, MO. Lots of games, food and fun, all the proceeds goes towards park improvements and various projects.

Jesse Cox celebrated his birthday on Sunday, October 12 in Pleasanton, Kansas with family and friends. The party was hosted by his Mother, Brittney Bradley. Happy Birthday, Jesse.

The youth rodeo held in Hume last Saturday was fun to watch with several local youth from Hume and the surrounding area participating. We have some talented young boys and girls that will be fun to watch as they grow up in the rodeo circuit!
