Elsie Marie Phillips

Elsie Marie Phillips, age 87 of Butler, Missouri died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. She was born November 8, 1926 to Isaac William and Florence Leona Cunningham Strickland in Oswego, Kansas. 

Elsie's wishes were to be cremated. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) Butler, Missouri. 

Elsie is survived by her husband, Ron Phillips of Butler, Missouri; two sons, Rod Phillips and wife Andrea of Branson, Missouri and Kelly Phillips and wife Linda of Butler, Missouri; two daughters, Sharon Austin and husband T.J. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Brenda Herrman and husband Bret of Springfield, Missouri; a brother, Albert Strickland and wife Peggy of Oswego, Kansas; two sisters, Betty Jean Martinie and husband Bill of Altamont, Kansas and Karen Ball and husband Wesley of Colwich, Kansas; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Bryan Lynn Phillips; a brother, Wayne Strickland; four sisters, Velma Nettleton, Juanita Fisher, Esther Kirkpatrick, and June Horn; and infant twin granddaughters, Carin and Rachel Austin.
