Funeral services for Bob Eckert will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Ron Dunlap officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 9 - 10 a.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler. Contributions to Butler Senior Center or Butler Community Food Pantry.
John Robert Eckert, age 97 of Butler, Missouri died Monday, October 13, 2014 at Heartland of Willow Lane in Butler. He was born October 8, 1917 to James Daniel and Edith Rebecca Palm Eckert in Billings, Montana.
Bob is survived by a daughter, Ginger Johnson and husband Gary of St. Louis, Missouri; a brother, John Eckert and wife Kathleen of Butler, Misssouri; and two grandchildren, Scott and Alicia Johnnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Eckert; a brother, Frank Eckert; and two sisters, Virginia Mizner and Margie Henley.
