She received a suspended imposition of sentence and was placed on probation. The original charge stemmed from an incident in July 2013. The warrant was issued Nov. 4 and bond is set at $2,500 cash only.
The second warrant was for failing to appear in court a class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. The charge stems from an incident on Sept. 16 when a St. Clair County deputy assisted the Appleton City Police Department with a call regarding an alleged assault that occurred near Appleton City. Contact was made with Mitchell in the parking lot of Dollar General, Appleton City. During the investigation, Mitchell was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. She was arrested and posted bond prior to a warrant being issued. On Sept. 19, a criminal summons was issued in the case. The warrant for failing to appear in court was issued on Nov. 18 and bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.
