Two El Dorado Springs residents arrested following a vehicle pursuit

Two El Dorado Springs residents were arrested following a vehicle pursuit Sunday night in Cedar County. Cedar County Sheriff's Office Officials says, just prior to 9:00 P.M. Sunday night, Deputies checked a moving vehicle with radar, near the Olympia area, going 78 miles per hour. Officials say, the Deputies attempted to stop the White Oldsmobile Alero, which began speeding up to 100 miles per hour and running stop signs. 

Cedar County Deputies deployed spike strips, after which the Alero ran off the roadway through a ditch, a yard and through two fences before coming to a stop. The driver fled on foot, but was later located in the trunk of a family member's car. The driver was identified as 31 year old Jonathan Foulk. 

Foulk is being charged with multiple charges including speeding, resisting or interfering with arrest, failure to obey a traffic control device, and driving while revoked. Foulk was also on Vernon County's most wanted list for failure to appear for felony unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest, and theft of a motor vehicle.

A passenger in the vehicle, 27 year old Trista Foulk, was also arrested on charges of false report/statement and hindering prosecution. Both are being held in the Cedar County Jail. Two children in the vehicle were taken into protective custody until their mother could be contacted and returned to them.
