Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for southwestern Bates County

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the southwestern region of our county that could include 60 mph wind gusts and quarter sized hail. It will remain in effect until 4:15 unless extended.

The approaching storm is expected to hit Hume, Foster, Worland, Amoret and Amsterdam as is moves eastward at around 70 mph.

A Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 7 pm.
