The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1990 Dodge Ram truck driven by 18 year old Jeffery T. Brewer of Garden City, Missouri was Southbound when he traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Mr. Brewer received serious injuries in this accident and was taken by ambulance to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, Missouri. A passenger in the vehicle 21 year old Hardus Barkenhuizen also of Garden City, Missouri received moderate injuries in this accident and was taken by private vehicle to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Stever Tow. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted by The Cass County Sheriffs Office.
