On the evening of 12-21-15, at approximately 5:15 P.M., Clinton Police were dispatched to a home located in the 200 block of South 4th Street. At that location they contacted a resident of the home who had a gunshot wound to the head. The resident had been discovered by his roommate who called 911. The resident was treated on the scene by Golden Valley Ambulance personnel and then was transported to the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. The resident was then flown to a hospital in the Kansas City Metro area where they remain in critical condition. Clinton Police Detectives conducted an on scene investigation. While that investigation continues, it appears from evidence gathered from the scene and statements of other residents at the home that it was apparently a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
