Around 10:35pm last night the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with the Cass County Sheriffs Office and Belton Police Department responded to a one vehicle accident on Southbound I-49 at North Cass Parkway.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2000 GMC Sonoma driven by 26 year old Patrick E. Mason of Harrisonville, Missouri experienced a medical issue causing the vehicle to run off the roadway and strike the cable barrier.
Mr. Mason sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by J's Southland Towing.
