Around 4:05pm this afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Polk County responded to a two vehicle accident on Missouri 13 Highway around 2 miles South of Humansville.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the when the 1985 Chevrolet truck driven by 17 year old James J. Justice of Fair Play, Missouri was crossing Missouri 13 Highway at Missouri 123, when he failed to yield and struck the 2012 Dodge Caravan driven by 62 year old Leta L. Hogge of Gladstone, Missouri.
Two passengers in the Dodge Caravan 80 year old Velma M. Goforth of Harrisonville, Missouri and 69 year old Cheryl D. Lewkowsky of Liberty, Missouri both sustained minor injuries in this accident and both were transported by ambulance to Citizen Memorial Hospital in Bolivar for treatment.
A passenger in the Chevrolet truck 16 year old Adam C Jones of Dunnegan, Missouri also sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Citizen Memorial Hospital in Bolivar for treatment.
Both vehicles received moderate damages in this accident and both were towed from the scene by Mike Wrecker of Collins, Missouri and Wakefield Towing of Bolivar, Missouri.
