Harold Reed Reynolds, 81, Nevada, MO, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at his home in Nevada following a lengthy illness. Harold was born on July 3, 1935 in Texarkana, TX to Reed and Irene (Wade) Reynolds. He was united in marriage to Penelope Leigh Dawkins on August 20, 1986 and she survives of the home. Harold was self-employed, selling auto detail products and worked in sales at Nevada Auto Mall. He and Penny were also raising two great-grandchildren. Harold was a member of the First Christian Church in Nevada. When time allowed he was an avid golfer. Harold was a gentle and caring soul who was loved by everyone who knew him. He was known by all as “Papa”.
In addition to his wife Penny he is survived by his children; son-grandson, Dalton Bates of the home, daughter, Sharon “Bonnie” Warne (David), Tulsa, OK, son, Doug Reynolds (Kathy), Schell City; one brother, Larry Alan Reynolds, Saddlebrook, NJ; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, John Reed Reynolds.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor David Rorabaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada.
