On 07/08/2016 Deputies at the Bates County Sheriff’s Office responded
to a residential burglary in the rural Butler area in Northeast Bates
County.
The victims reported that they observed a Silver
in color 4 door sedan with a Missouri license plate beginning with “F”
leaving the area.
The victims described the occupants of the vehicle to
be a black male with a full beard and a white female with dark hair in a
ponytail, wearing a tank top and had tattoos on her arms. The victims
stated the vehicle and the subjects were not familiar to the area.
The
victims stated approximately $23,000-$24,000 in jewelry was stolen
during the burglary. Some of the items taken include: an 18 karat white
gold wedding ring with a 1.08 carat diamond, yellow gold men’s wedding
band, and a jewelry box with other miscellaneous jewelry, a men’s watch
and the victim’s purse.
