On 8/20/16 around 9:40am the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Cass County Sheriff's Office and Central Cass Fire Department responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Missouri 291 Highway at 215th Street in rural Cass County.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1998 Oldsmobile driven by 24 year old Gerrick R. Wheeldon of Butler, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway before traveling back across to the left side of the roadway and overturning several times.
Mr. Wheeldon was pronounced dead at 10:05am at Cass County Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri. He was transported to the Jackson County Medical Examiners Office.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Johnson's Tow.
This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 43rd Fatality accident of 2016.
