The accident occurred on Southbound I-49 around 155th Street when the 2009 Western Star Semi driven by 68 year old Robert L. Becker of Harrisonville, Missouri was attempting to change lanes when it struck the drivers side of a unknown black SUV.
The driver of SUV got out of his vehicle and assaulted Mr. Becker before returning to his vehicle and fleeing from the scene before police could arrive.
Mr. Becker sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by South Metro Fire to Cass Regional Medical Center for treatment.
