The Belton Police Department is currently investigating a the homicide of a man that occurred around 5:40pm on Tuesday near Prospect Avenue and Missouri 150 Highway in Belton.
Detectives from the Belton Police Department says the man was shot and a red in color unknown make and model of car was reportedly seen fleeing the area short after the shooting.
