Kansas City man killed in early morning Cass County Fatality Accident

On 11/13/16 around 3:59am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle fatality accident in the Southbound Lanes of I-49 at Mile Marker 150.8 in rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2016 Ford Fusion driven by 55 year old Randy M. Hodges of Kansas City, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a mile marker sign then a embankment before the vehicle then became airborne and struck a bridge pillar ejecting the driver and catching fire.

Mr. Hodges was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and he was transported to the Jackson County Medical Examiners Office.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by J's Southland Tow. This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 60th Fatality Crash of 2016.
